PHOTO WORK
Photos do need to be digitized because at the moment we can’t take your photo and scan it with a proper pro photo scanner but at the bottom of the page are some FAQs which can help plus they should answer any questions you may have.
Feel free to reach out with any questions on the contact form down below. Also, if you experience any issues with my site, bear in mind that I am temporarily on a lower end server so there are times where the site takes a bit to load or erros.
This page just shows a few examples that we can do. We can not guarantee that we can handle your photo but you can contact us and we can go over everything to get a better idea if we can help. We will NOT just say yes and deliver so-so results. If we can't do it, we will tell you.

PHOTO INFORMATION
How are photos restored/colorized
For images, we use a mix of software and online utilities that use AI as a helper. Depending on the need for the specific photo, that determines which/all the methods used for repair.
Does image darkness matter?
Nighttime or low light images will always be iffy, especially b/w photos. It’s always best to ask us and we can tell you if we can help or not.
Will b/w colorization be 100% accurate?
Thats the great unknown. Colorization is being guessed by us, software, and AI so everything gets chalked up to best guess. Since there is no color data, especially in old or just b/w photos, that means that there is nothing that can say this is green and this is blue. So there can never be a guarantee that the colors that are estimated are going to be absolutely accurate. However, in most cases that we have seen, colors are pretty close.
What happens if you are told the photo may not be good for redo but you want to try anyway?
If we tell you that the photo may not turn out well or the digital file quality is too low or poor and you wish to try and proceed, then we will still charge since time and work was done regardless of results.
Do all photos work with restoration or colorization?
Results will vary. Factors such as how the digital file is made, file and photo size, quality, amount of damage, etc. are all contributing factors that affect results. We know our limitations and will express them if needed.
Will photos look good zoomed in on a computer?
Photos redone are meant more for printing on standard size(s) photo paper etc. but can certainly be used on computers. Having said that, images may look very odd when zoomed in too much. Not all, but some. Reason is because the algorithms for AI with both online and software tools need to figure out what the image is and then it’s also trying to remake what it “sees”. Because of that, the normal size image would be nice but zoomed in may look odd to most because of how the image becomes remade. Even with pre/post software work, it can’t fully eliminate this issue.
Do we guarantee results?
We can not guarantee results in the respect of how well an old or damaged photo will turn out. We do guarantee that if we aren’t happy with it then we will let you know.
How to send photos?
Photos need to be digital. At this time we are not equipped to have you land mail photos to us for scanning with a pro photo scanner. If you don’t already have the photo digitized, we can try to help if you have a good scanner at home OR you can try to take your photos to places like Walgreens or CVS or anywhere that has full photo areas as they will have photo scanners. Places like FedEx or Staples do digital scanning BUT they are geared for documents and such and not so much for photos. Just check your local area for anywhere that has photo scanning kiosks or digital services. But if you do have a scanner at home then we can try to guide you on how to scan it yourself. Having said that, your everyday scanner isn’t geared towards photos so that will make a difference in the quality of the reproductions.
